Unitarian Universalist Minister

About

About Me

Welcome! I'm Danielle, a Unitarian Universalist minister who feels called to ground my work for justice in the rich fabric of congregational life. I believe in a God of liberation and the transformative power of a good church potluck. I currently serve as Assistant Minister at the First Unitarian Church of Portland in Portland, OR.

Before following a call to ministry, I spent ten years working in health care policy and advocacy in Washington, D.C. While living in D.C., I discovered Unitarian Universalism at All Souls Church and became an active lay leader—teaching children’s religious education, chairing the adult spiritual development committee, and serving on the leadership team for the Reproductive Justice Initiative. I'm also a pilgrimage enthusiast who has accompanied UU congregations on spiritual treks through Spain and Scotland.

I am a proud graduate of Vanderbilt Divinity School, where I was honored to received the Founder’s Medal for first honors. I also hold a B.A. from the College of William and Mary and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas. I live with my wife Mari and our dog Jo March in Portland, OR where we're enjoying exploring the beautiful outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
